In this programme we look at a selection of puppies and training through to nine months. Adapting the training to the temperement of the dog through the initial stages of walking on lead and off lead, the first steps of retrieving, quartering and many other stages ensuring a firm grounding, leading to training to the highest standards.

Edward Martin has had a lifelong love of gun dogs and shooting, training his first dog on the family farm as a teenager. He has successfully competed in trials for many years with a number of field trail champions to his name. In 1993, training, "Shooting Times" dog Monty for a seriers of articles in the magazine, highlighted Edward's approach to training and a huge following ensued.
